About Vance

After graduating in 1988 from Drake University Law School in Des Moines, I opened this law firm with the goal of only representing victims of negligence, and NEVER the insurance companies. To this day, I have consistently refused to represent insurance companies.

In 1997, I was nominated to serve on the board of governors of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association, and the same year was honored by the Association by receiving the "Outstanding Member Award". The next year, the same award was given to Iowa Governor-elect Tom Vilsack.

In 1999, I was one of 48 lawyers from the United States to be selected for admission to Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College. This was held at Gerry Spence's ranch just north of DuBois, Wyoming. If you'd like, click on: Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College
